Iron
Age Roundhouse
Hadleigh Country Park
This unique building in the beautiful surroundings of the Country Park will make an excellent educational venue for Primary schools wishing to cover many areas of the curriculum. The Roundhouse and the real life characters within, provide the opportunity to step back in time and experience the daily life of the Ancient Britons during the Roman invasion. During the day the pupils will use all of their senses to fire up the imagination of a time long since past. The packages that you are able to choose from are designed to suit all learning styles and abilities. We believe in learning by doing, and with that in mind our school visits are very hands on. The morning may consist of helping with the archaeological dig of the Chieftain’s grave and discovering the treasure within. An afternoon of warrior training or chariot racing will have everyone keen to learn more about our amazing past. A visit to the Hadleigh Roundhouse can be used to help cover many areas of the National Curriculum whether as an introduction, to consolidate knowledge or used as revision prior to SATS. You are welcome to choose a ready made package day or pick and mix from a variety of activities and themes that would better suit your teaching needs.
